The Oban Winter Festival will return on 20th – 29th November 2015 after a very successful 2014 Festival.
The Festival has been held every year since 2011 when a group of inspired locals decided to liven up Oban in Autumn with a programme of cultural events. It started off as a Victorian Market with various satellite events and provide an instant success.
It’s now 5 years on and the Oban Winter Festival has grown to a ten day celebration of local culture and community with street parades, performing acts from home and abroad, art and museum exhibitions, pipers and great family entertainment.
The 2015 Festival’s is “The Spirit of Winters Past” and the programme of events includes St Andrew’s Day events such as a Scottish Food and Craft Market, Haggisfest, ceilidh, St. Andrew’s Day Tartan Dash and a Ghost Walk.
